Londre was founded on the belief that our small business can make big change. Inclusivity is a pillar of our brand and we feel fortunate to be able to create with a diverse group of partners, which is inclusive of POC and members of the black community. As beneficiaries of white privilege and small business owners, we are sharing initial steps we are taking to continue to support the Black community so that our transparency reflects exactly what we are doing and hope it inspires other people and businesses who benefit from white privilege to take concrete action. We do not and will not tolerate implicit or explicit racism. We are forever students - unlearning, learning, and seeking to do better. We are deeply inspired by those creating change both in our home in Canada and across the world for BIPOC. We stand with the Black community.
In recent years, we have supported initiatives that most directly impact WOC like ACLU and Yellow Hammer Fund, and have made donations to Black Lives Matter, The NAACP, and The Minnesota Freedom Fund. We plan on continuing and expanding the way we show up for what is right. We are attending protests because we firmly believe that equality is a human right. We are listening, reading, watching, having conversations, checking in, and checking ourselves.
Within our business, as we continue to grow and as opportunities arise for a greater internal team we will absolutely continue to ensure that the diversity of our internal and external teams mirrors the values we champion and will be holding space for POC in our leadership. We are always discussing ways that we can further expand on Londre's ability to be an agent for positive change and will push this harder than ever before. We are not in this momentarily but are making a long term action plan.
